Strathclyde has received a perfect score of 5 from QS and has been crowned University of the Year by Times Higher Education in both 2012 and 2019, as well as Entrepreneurial University of the Year in 2013. They have been honoured with the highest national honour in higher and further education, the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education, and named the Scottish University of the Year for 2020.
While the sector average was 87.2%, 57% of Strathclyde’s research was graded ‘excellent’ in the REF 2021. A higher percentage of ‘world-leading’ and ‘internationally-excellent’ research (89% compared to 84%) indicates a higher quality university overall.
